The last one, with it's contradictory moments, made me laugh out loud.

Thanks for sharing.Paula Westonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15257475233897059248noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-872511076454850581.post-41020446086153551292008-07-05T19:23:00.000-07:002008-07-05T19:23:00.000-07:00Dear PaulaHere are 7 random events in my life. 1. ...Dear Paula

Here are 7 random events in my life.

1. When I was 5, I gave my expensive German hand made teddy bear a hair cut. My Mom was very upset and I still don't know why.
Everyone knows hair grows back.

2. When I was 6 I was driving my little foot propelled firetruck on the sidewalk when a real fire truck came along the street, slowed down and all the firemen waved to me. It was a special gift to a young boy.

3. When I was 7 I suddenly got a tremendous side ache, it was so painful I could not walk. After a couple of hours my Mom worked out I had appendicitis. I had emergency surgery within the hour and the doctor said if my Mom had waited another hour it would have burst and probably killed me.

4. When I was 8 I fell in love with my teacher and would write her poetry. Yet I had to dump her when I found out she already had a boyfriend.

5. When I was much older and living in Sausalito California I bumped into Van Morison at the Caledonia Cafe. I had seen his concert the night before and I shook his hand and he smiled magically back to me.

6. A few days ago I opened the fridge and started pouring what I thought was milk into my cheerios cereal bowl. There was one problem, it was orange juice not milk.

7. Yesterday I woke up at about 6 am to watch the sun rise and do some yoga when I started hearing this obnoxious alarm going off. I was thinking what idiot has set off their home alarm or car alarm? This went on for 15 minutes until I went upstairs to my bedroom and realised it was my own alarm clock screeching into the silent air.Gustavhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14007035018960992565noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-872511076454850581.post-48040855447707313742008-02-28T23:24:00.000-08:002008-02-28T23:24:00.000-08:00Paula, your seven things are my favourite so far!!...Paula, your seven things are my favourite so far!!! The image of you standing there with a cigarette welded to the inside of your nose is just gold :P

I love the way you describe stillness as making everything feel closer. I know exactly what you mean. And sometimes I miss it too!

And how great is it that you scoffed Russell Crowe's afternoon tea! If I was a high five kinda girl I'd be giving you one right now!

Thanks so much for coming to visit. It was great to catch up, and I'm loving reading your blog. Makes the gaps between actually catching up in real life seem much smaller.

xxx
BecBechttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13723810605485842824noreply@blogger.com
