I had not avidly followed the TV series, but had seen the odd episode and advert so grasped the concept of the "ethical serial killer" - although as is pointed out, ethics aren't so much important to Dexter as following his foster father's Code and not getting caught. I managed to read the first two novels prior to hearing Lindsay speak, and was fascinated by Lindsay's take on 'Nature versus Nurture' - are killers born or created? I have just finished the third book 'Dexter in the Dark' which almost crosses over into the supernatural as Lindsay explores the origins of evil. Meanwhile, Dexter grapples with organising a wedding to continue the charade of his 'fake life' and finds himself more involved with his fiancee's children - could this be a sign of some genuine emotion from Dexter?Placeyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03698156183605405173noreply@blogger.com
